Oct 18, Cody rated it really liked it. It not only tells you what it takes to invent a product and bring it to market — it actually teaches you how to do it. There aren’t exciting plot twists, catchy scenes, snappy dialogues. I have never been curious about inventing products but this was a useful book to see how it is done.
I don’t need a factual statement, I need encouraging as well.
Greiner’s help, you will discover the importance of prototypes and market research, and the keys to getting useful i. A nice trove of information valuable to anyone with an idea, along with a few interesting stories, all from a familiar voice.
Once a reader is firmly rooted in the knowledge of what makes a great entrepreneur and entrepreneurial idea, the book plunges into what needs to actually be done. Greiner tells how inveent where to go about getting funding — and how to build a perfect pitch. There are chapters on fundraising, social media, patents, manufacturing, packaging, the whole deal.

They don’t know if they should sell online, or try to get their product into stores, or go onto home shopping channels. Once you’ve gotten the go ahead, you’ll also need to know the benefits of and steps to obtaining a patent and trademarking, as well as best strategies for manufacturing, including packaging and quality control, and how to follow up and continue to find the way to move your business forward, including conducting successful sales on television and through other non-traditional selling venues, harnessing social media to boost your marketing power so that your business will continue to expand and grow.

However, to people that are really serious about starting a business, I’m sure that this book was pretty helpful.

Amazing Read and incredibly helpful in current details. I loved this book and learned many practical insights. No trivia or quizzes yet. This is the best book I have read if you have an invention or product or idea you that want to make money. It is a good starting point for anyone trying to figure out how to get an idea mass produced – especially if you are not familiar with industry practices and terminology.
Granted, this is non-fiction. She has also helped many budding entrepreneurs turn their ideas into hit products. These experiences provide a context for seeing how the steps can actually be followed and applied in a real life setting.
