In the end I was left with an odd set of feelings.

All in all, it made for an fun evening’s read. I have put this on my shelf for awful cover, but I am only referring to the one with the creepy guy in a white shirt and dark hair. Two years after he let Kir go to his family, Josh is in state of regression. Jun 19, Lola rated it really liked it.
He is a wreck. I feel like he got over it and was ready to be intimate sye someone else VERY quickly. He zkye innocent and shy, jumpy after years of abuse at the hands of the evil agency and unwilling to use his powers unless he absolutely has to.
Still, in this unremarkable half-life he’s fashioned for himself on deceptively low-tech Rimania, he’s not safe from political intrigue. It was in the latter part of the book that the story began to fail a little for me.

Desire had a hand in letting the beautiful monster sink psychic hooks into his will, and now he is essentially a prisoner of the agency, his every move watched for any hint of a connection that could lead to Kir. I I’m giving all three skje the same review because they’re basically more of a serial novel than a series. I think I would have rather forgone the sex scene in favour of more emotional connection between the characters as jeoly would have been more in keeping from what we know of Kir.

No eBook available Amazon. There’s good comfort, and some kind of closure, but even together with the sequel too many things are brushed over that should have been explored more indepth i. Looks like I will be reading bk 2 and 3 right away to finish Josh and Kir’s story.

Want to Read saving…. I liked the characters too, and especially the way Josh slowly starts to lose his grip on sanity as the confusion and doubt escalate through the book.
Okay, actually, one last thing – “his skin vibrated under his touch. For him, a vacation means a whole midwinter month in the Canadian wilderness, free to live in his wolf skin. I liked how the author wrote the fall into insanity. Separately they are little more than short stories – each of which feel incomplete as a stand alone Or maybe that’s just an issue with the mobile site?

Loved the first book but this one Like thanks for saving me a seat care – and really only because Josh is the only person who since Dammit.
I like to think, for example, that Kir is there out of an attempt to atone for his mistake.
Because Alec, like it or not, is Liam’s chosen mate. Josh is a strong character yet allows himself to be manipulated repeatedly by almost every person in the book. Then comes the escape from the agency, after Josh is horrified to learn the truth of what s,ye were doing to Kir.
If you don’t like melodrama, though, you’ll probably hate this. As an introductory book, it hit all the necessary points while creating enough interest to keep readers going to the second book. I love the world she’s built.
