Just decides he’s going t Author: I was wary to read it, as I’ve found most of Krentz’ books to just be lacking some She is married and lives with her husband, Frank, in Seattle, Washington. I discovered them as they were being published, and they were the books that convinced me I could enjoy contemporary romance.
As usual there are a host of other wonderful characters to add depth and enjoyment to the book, mostly Jessie’s family who rely on Jessie to handle her father for the rest of them. Jessie Benedict is the quirky daughter of an obsessed business man who destroyed his marriages and his family because of his dedication to his business. But I was emotionally connected to them both.
I wouldn’t go so far as to say it was a truly exceptional book, but it was thoroughly engaging. Slow in parts, but a great “relaxation” read! I mean, if you feel pressured and think this is the absolutely worst man you could marry, why do you start a relationship? Paperback Books in English Anne Lamott. The characters would feel flat. This sewet not a book that I yearn to pick up again and again, but it was an enjoyable read.
In this story our heroine is constitutionally incapable of holding a job, not because she’s not hard working, but simply because she cares so much about helping people she tends to lose sight of doing her job and soon gets fired.
There’s some sex but it’s not the focus of the stories, and finally, I enjoy the minor characters and the odd-ball occupations in these books. One of those “it ain’t over till it’s over” type of books. This item doesn’t belong on this page.

Kreentz I missed this book, first published in ’91, so I was happy to stumble upo In the 90’s Krentz wrote a series of romance novels with quirky young heroines who became involved with tough, no-nonsense business men. Of course romance followed, along with some suspense and mystery.
