Quinn one of Johns close friends slits Lashs throat for verbally abusing and assaulting him in regard of a rape btotherhood that had happened in the past causing Quinns family to chase him out; he have been shunned by his family all his life for his mismatched eyes for they were a sign of imperfection, his deed now proving him evil.
My favorite quotes from other characters: In this “frighteningly addictive” paranormal romance saga there’s a war raging between vampires and their slayers. Lots of side plots going on in this book… How many characters can I ensgrined from this book?
But i did love the ending. Ward could have given Phury some kind of miraculous happy ending, but the way she chose to write his battle with the addiction and recovery process, though not always easy to read, was very realistic.
Ward has a great style of writing and she shines…You will lose yourself in this world; it is different, davger, dark, violent, and flat-out amazing.
The ending is pretty satisfying; I love the new perspectives! Ward takes you deep into her intense, dark world of vampires and holds you captive until her last breathless word…sure to satisfy lovers of vampire romance everywhere. Hell, at this point, she could have told his heart not to beat, and the thing would have complied with the order quite cheerfully.
Lover Enshrined is J. DDD I can’t wait to get to their book!!! The tidbits of history that Ward provides puts a great many things into a deeper context and further develops the dagged of the series as a whole. A nice little happening at the very end guaranteed that this reader definitely has to move on to the next book and soon: In fact, had this not been in the book, I would have been severely disappointed.
I liked this book much more the second time I read it. May contain moderately descriptive love scenes, usually no more than three. These Brothers are very highly sexed individuals, so I cannot imagine how difficult it must have been to spend many, many years celibate, and Phury did not have Zsadist’s issues with sex to lessen his sex drive.
Up From the Grave.
D In my first read of the series I didn’t really care one way or another about both of them, but now: Meanwhile Lash works on his plans to start a political war within the vampire society; he kills his parents and head to Quinns home next as other lessers attack other glymera homes.
For better or worse He was self destructive and hurting not only himself but others who cared about him as well. This book is the one I like the least of all the books in this series and that’s because I really don’t care for Phury.
Lover Enshrined – J.R. Ward
Pover first time in their world proved to be a learning experience. I won’t be able to sum up what the story is about other than to tell you what you can expect Yes No Thanks for your feedback! Even their love scenes were blah and Ward has always written phenomenal ones for her lead characters.
She lives in the South with her family. When I was reading his book I just wanted to cuddle him and squeeze him and tell him not to be sad and everything will be all right. All during labor you are cranky, not happy, feeling discombobulated and then you give birth and they place that baby in your arms and you forget how you felt before and all you feel is happiness!!
He is supposed to father children upon the Chosen, forty or so women of pure vampire bloodlines, and replenish the dwindling vampire gene-pool but finds himself with no desire for the task. I mean this was no romance. Previous female characters in the BDB novels have had as much depth as their male counterparts — Beth, Mary, Marissa and Bella in particular were not only just as interesting as their hellren but were also characters you could identify with.
I also really loved all the parts with John Matthew brotherhiod Xhex. The way he made Cormia feel and what happened with the Brotherhood. Cormia is occupied by pover of things other than losing her virginity: Here was the on again off again type of thing that I’m not really a fan of.
I like the scenes between Zsadist and Phury The romance scenes between Phury and Cormia were well written but there were not enough of it. Always willing to sacrifice himself to help anyone out.
