Fans of the Drake series, readers who want an emotional yet dark read.

Wonderful to be back with the Drake sisters again. As the seventh daughter of a seventh daughter ad infinitum, she is destined to mother the next generation of witches.

Within a series there are so many things already set and the christin is confined to those circumstances. She did ask for cornrows, christihe I absolutely hated. And as I expected, I really struggled through the first five chaps. Love and family and togetherness is what makes the Drakes so incredible to me and the way they accept and aid family members in every crisis.

I’m really glad I’m not the seventh Drake sister, but then, Elle’s pretty used to that house.

Hidden Currents

Mar 30, Susan rated it liked it Shelves: Curernts Feehan succeeded in conveying the right amount of sorrow, terror, and pain Elle’s been through without descending into gory details. I had a disturbing moment when I thought I lost my review before saving it. Elle is supposed to be super sister endowed feehab all the powers ha! Also too convenient and completely unnecessary was the appearance and death of the pedophile reverend who just happened to also be a human trafficer.

Hidden Currents by Christine Feehan

Jackson Deveau pushed Elle away because he knew he wasn’t worthy of her legacy I have never wanted a woman in the way I want you. Ratings and Reviews 1 64 star ratings 1 reviews. Open Preview See a Problem? Another book by Christine Feehan about the rape and torture and then rescue and insta-love of a poor christinee woman who is supposed to be strong and independent but isn’t by the aggressive strong relationships are all about sex man but hey he has a whole depth of feelings, not.

When Elle fails to arrive home, her disappearance strikes fear in the hearts of everyone who loves her. All without having to subject the reader to all the gory details. In rejecting her legacy, he rejected her.

Of course he finds her and plans to destroy all she holds dear Another aspect I loved was the humor. But even as he fulfills the promise, they both have a long road ahead of them For this to have such dark subject matter, it was nice to enjoy some really funny moments in this book.

I have other subjects I don’t want to touch with a ten foot pole.

She said nothing as he closed geehan door, waiting before moving until she heard the lock snick into place. Nov 24, Jessica rated it did not like it Shelves: The Twilight Before Christmas 3. I’ve really enjoyed the series so far and I must say that I think Feehan came up with a very different and definitely darker book than the others to close the series. Already the boat was moving the short distance to his island.

What bothered me the most was not the graphic torture of the heroine hdiden that it was out of place in what had basically been a fluff series.

I just thought that they were too visceral for my taste When she freaks out they don’t even mention that, she’s just all upset she got upset! I finally just had to start skipping large sections of the book because I couldn’t deal with it.

I’m not remotely angry or disgusted with the wasted hours I spent with this book. So I like my fiction that way.
