I wish to thank the Dutch Stabat Mater Foundation which gave me the financial support in to renew this site! It makes one think of a cycle of songs, with the slow parts forming the emotional center.
After his death I continued collecting the information and managing the site. It was composed in only two months, what Poulenc attributed to heavenly inspiration. Here I have brought something new and I expect frqncis in the end people will be interested more in the Stabat Mater than in all my piano works. Dedicated to sacred choral works of Poulenc.
