If one manages to separate essence from flesh, if one manages, that is, to gain distance from ejmeswil, then one climbs the first step toward spiritual power. The earth needs murder, its economy requires it; but if the earth knows the punishment, it rejects the revenge. It is a world in which technician and technocrat govern.
Although the fully conceived figure is first and most comprehensively presented in the novel Eumeswil, anarch-like figures and spiritual precursors to the anarch appear in other works, most notably in Der Waldgang “The Forest Flight”, untranslated into English. We fail not because of our dreams but because we do eumdswil dream forcefully enough.
An anarch is a true individualist who is not committed to any political creed or regime.
