When I initially received this book, I thought I would not like it.

Another vampire story just seems to be over the top. I didn’t notice any typos, grammatical issues or continuity errors that’s not to say there weren’t any, just that they weren’t obvious enough to catch my eyeand this on only the galley – I’m impressed.

Thank goodness farnsdorth wasn’t as aware as I was of how close to the headlines the book felt at times with our history of terrorist attacks–which made the threat in the book seem only more real. A vampire with morals, ethics and regrets was a nice change of pace in the plethora of vampire stories.
Griff, Zach’s mentor and Cade’s previous liaison is surprisingly lovable.
Zach, a savvy and capable rising star in the world of US politics, and previously the White House deputy director of political affairs, attempts to understand his situation. He plays the smug know-it-all well.
