Moment frames are employed on the East side of the conference center in the North-South direction with scattered East-West frames throughout the system. It is assumed that lateral support is provided through the conical concrete walls of the auditorium in the Southwest corner and the beams that frame into their embed plates.

Service is provided from the transformer vault to two A main switchboards. Some electricity also goes directly to transformers to be stepped down for power. The same voltage transformers are used for lab distribution though they are rated at Electrical closets are provided for every 15, square feet of space, and there are 3 spots in the upper floors for future electrical panels and transformers pending future expansion.

A dimmer panel and emergency dimmer panel are provided in the conference center for meeting and presentation purposes. Provided for emergency equipment use are 6 automatic transfer switches for sudden power outages ranging from A to A.

The conference center is run off its own set of panels directly from the main boards. USP relies on a kW diesel generator and a kW natural gas generator on the Penthouse level for emergency power distribution.

Also in place is a kVA Uninterruptible Power Supply or UPS system to provide 15 minute battery backup to the data center in case of service failure. Average wattages per square foot range from. Lighting for USP is run off V branch circuits throughout the building. The major source of illumination is fluorescent lamps using mainly rapid start T-8 32 watt lamps or long compact fluorescent T-5 lamps.

Industrial strip lighting is used exclusively in the Penthouse ceiling as well as non-parking areas on the Ground level. The parking levels use surface mounted fluorescents with axaag emergency branch in each level. Water asaag chilled by two electric centrifugal chillers at a rate of GPM each with a capacity of tons. The heating system is made up of two gas fired boilers in the penthouse level.

The hot water is supplied to air handlers Two closed circuit cooling adazg rated for MBH supply chilled process water at GPM each to various cold rooms throughout the lab spaces. Air handler 5 contains a desiccant dehumidification wheel with an electric heat coil to dehumidify the air before sending it to the lab spaces. Air handlers are able to provide , , 34, and adxag, CFMs respectively. Different spaces are also kept at differing pressures with most of the lab spaces being negatively pressurized.

The nonhazardous procedural and office spaces are kept at a neutral to positive pressurization. Construction was performed by a self working G.
