Foresr she ended up in another blood sucking profession –journalism — instead. So some updating is required. A relationship works both ways and BOTH people have to be willing to work not just hope the other one does.

This is the 3rd book I’ve read by this author. But other than that the story was cute with a modern woman making do in Sherwood with quirky characters and funny scenarios it is a fun, light read for an afternoon on a plane!

It was full of bizarre pop-culture references that will make this book outdated in no time at all. The story is told in first person present tense — something that took a bit of getting zherwood to — but actually works to heighten the comedic effect. This one the main character fell in love with Robin Hood, helped defeat the Sheriff of Nottingham and lived happily ever after in the 12th century. Just the sort of book I needed in the run up to Christmas stress.
